The Reality Saplings were added in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 and personally I loved the addition of instantly getting some great loot when you first land on the Island. But like all plants you have to plant one and then look after it. There are also some nice tricks you can do to regrow your Reality Saplings to get another set of items from it in each match. Let’s cover some reality sapling back ground then 3 Tricks to help your sapling grow.

What are Reality Saplings in Fortnite?

Reality Saplings originally started off life in Reality Falls, the roots of the huge tree then started to spread across the Fortnite Island. You can now find Saplings, roots and seed pods over most of the island. The off springs of the main tree are what each player can plant anywhere on the island. Once you collect a seed and replant it, you then weed it on a regular basis and on return it will gift you with items.

Your Sapling will stay at the planted location and you will be able to visit it in every match you join. Other players will NOT see your tree unless you are in the game with them, and vice versa.

Where Can I Find Reality Saplings in Fortnite?

Original Reality Saplings where only collectable by breaking seed pods at Reality Falls, but now the roots have spread to most of the island and you can get seeds from anywhere you see the Reality Tree roots.

If you find your Reality Saplings tree has disappeared, they will do after it dropped the Mythic item or another player may have destroyed it, just find a new seed and replant it, then carry on as normally, it will restart at the level it was destroyed at.

How do the Reality Seeds Work?

The Reality Seeds are collected by harvesting a Reality Seed pod and then collecting the seed that pops out, normally you will get 3 seeds from a pod. Once you have a seed in your inventory, find a location you wish to grow your plant at, throw the see down just like throwing a grenade. The Plant will then take root and start to grow, if the seed bounces on the ground, pick it up and try again. Your targeting arc should be Blue and not Red for a successful throw.

How do I weed my Reality Saplings Tree?

Just like collecting fruit from Klomberry’s, interact with the weeds and they will be gone, you get nothing in return but your Saplings Tree will be able to continue to grow and give you more items.

Also, at the bottom of your tree are 3x Slurp Mushroom’s, these can be used to regain health and shields, can be carried in a stack of 6 and be consumed really fast, so worth have as a quick boost to the Small chug pots.

Instantly Regrow Your Reality Saplings Fruit

Under normally situations you can only collect fruit from your tree once per match.  But should you come across any chug buffs you can use these to help regrow your tree.

Just use any of the following items at the base of your Reality Saplings Tree, they call can be used for the tree and yourself/team at the same time, so double bonus

• Shield keg
• 4x 6 Pack of Chug Splash’s
• Chug Cannon
• Chrome Splash

I always have a little hunt about the local area before opening my tree, hoping to find something to regrow my tree.

What do Chrome Splashes do to your Reality Tree

Another cool use for Chrome Splashes as covered in Fortnite Chrome Splash Guide is they can be used to Splash your reality Tree. They wont turn it Chrome but it will refresh your reality Fruit.

How do I check my Reality Sapling Status

I would say it’s worth checking your Saplings status every game. You can check on the Map view once you’re in the Battle Bus, it wont dispaly while your on the waiting island.  To the top left of the screen, you will see its progress under Sapling Status.

Its Shows some information about the fruit it will drop, in this picture you will get:

• Blue Rare items
• 3 Fruit indicated how many fruits it will give, we will ahve 3 to colelct
• Next Wedding is the count down to the next weeding and when the Tree will level up. In my case NOW!

If you don’t weed your Reality Saplings Tree, it just won’t produce fruit and so no items for you.
