The Bytes Quests in Chapter 3 Season 4 are unlocked once you have all the rewards on Page 2 of the Battle Pass. If you don’t have the Battle Pass, yet check out my Guide, how to get a FREE Battle Pass

The Bytes Quests run from Oct 6th 2022 and you have untill 3rd December 2022 to get them completed

How do I Unlock the Bytes Quests?

Firstly, you need to have a Battle Pass. Once you have completed enough levels and have enough Battle Stars you can unlock the Bytes Quest by buying ALL the items on page 2

Once you own all the items you will receive the Bytes Quest

You will now find the newly received quest in your quests log

Bytes Quests Part 1 – Stage 1 of 1 – Tune the TV while wearing the Bytes Outfit

Go to your Locker and put on all the newly purchased items from Page 2. I think it’s just the actual skin you need but let’s get into character, I got them all on!  If you use “Track Quest” you will see the 2 possible drop locations. The Track Quest feature really help find the best location for you.

Drop at the easiest location to find the TV, the House just west of Herald’s Sanctum. You will find the TV on the ground floor, in the garage of all places, very odd

Bytes Quests Part 2 – Stage 1 of 2 – Damage opponents with EvoChrome Weapons

This should be an easy one, do 2,500 damage to other players using either the EvoChrome Shotgun or EvoChrome Burst Rifle

Bytes Quests Part 2 – Stage 2 of 2 – Tune the TV while wearing the Bytes Outfit

I knew keeping the Bytes Skin on was worth something, no need for an outfit change ha-ha now back to tuning another TV like Stage 1 of 1

Checking the map I can see the TV that needs to be tuned is now down at Chonkers Speedway. You can find it in the south building in the Burger Bar seating area.

Bytes Quests Part 2 – Reward

After completing Stage 2 of 2 you get the upgraded Harvesting Tool – The Nothing Gift.  Looks cool but the Animation sucks though, Epic Graphics Team, please try harder next time!

Bytes Quests Part 3 – Stage 1 of 2 – Drive distance in Chromed Vehicle

Another straight forward quest, find any vehicle (I would recommend a Fortnite Whiplash as they are faster and will cover more ground quicker) Chrome it up, if you’re unsure on how to do this read Fortnite Chrome Splash Once you’re have your Chromed Car then drive it about for 5000m, it’s going to take a while so be on the lookout for Gas Stations & Gas Pumps

Bytes Quests Part 3 – Stage 2 of 2 – Tune the TV while wearing the Bytes Outfit

Should be a quick one, check the map and track the quest. Drop to the location what best suits you for a quick result. I dropped at Cloudy Condos, found the TV in the open by the swimming pool.

Another upgrade to the Harvesting Tool or Axe, Animation still suck though

Bytes Quests Part 4 – Stage 1 of 2 – Pass Through Chromed Structures in different Named Locations

On checking the Island Map Locations we have about 16 locations to choose from. This turned out to be a bit tricky as not all locations have Chrome Splash available or any Chrome Structures.  I found the best idea is to land just east of Herald’s Sanctum and find the Truck, collect Chrome Splashes and Chrome up the Truck. The head out to your locations to complete the quest. Alternative, is just north of Sleep Sound, harvest Chrome Splash and grab a truck

Back to the TV Tuning. This time, one of the TV’s was on the group floor of the flooring apartments at Shimmering Shrine.

Bytes Quests Part 5 – Stage 1 of 2 – Search Chromed Chests

Should be another straight forward one and my Fortnite Chrome Splash Guide should help you here.

• Drop at locations on the map where there are plenty of Chromed buildings
• Collect some Chrome Splashes
• Open Chromes Chests, if you find a normal chest, throw a Chrome Splash at it!

More TV tuning, this time I went for the TV at the beach by the huge statue to the east side of the island, should be an easy spot and quick result. The TV is in a small round hut on the south side of the statue.

Bytes Quests Part 6 – Stage 1 of 2 – Deal damage to Chromed Wildlife

We have 3 options here:

• Drive around the Chrome covered areas of the island looking for Chrome Wildlife
• Collect some Chrome Splash’s and drive around looking for Wildlife to Chrome then Kill
• Do both of the above at the same time

NOTE: It turned out the fastest way to complete this quest was to:

• Get some Chrome Splashes, find a Shark and kill that!

TV of choice for me was Sleepy Sound,  easy drop and you can find it, on the ground, under the Bar in the south building.

Bytes Quests Part 7 – Stage 1 of 2 – Eliminate opponents at a Chromed named Location

Check the map and pick a Chromed Location for your rampage. Tool up and hang about eliminating players.

I dropped at Greasy Grove, to the South West of the complex is a partly distroyed house with a purple roof, on the ground floor is where you will find the TV. Its amazing it survived the destruction

This is gunna be fun! and i can see it being a bit tricky, they just wont stand still!

Another TV tune mission, something is really going funny on this island, maybe they need cable or satellite TV? This one is Logjam Junction or Synapse Station, Heading to Synapse as it’s a bit of a quieter drop zone.

Was the Bytes Quests Worth it?

There we have it, Quest completed and a range of shiny Chrome Axe / Harvesting tools in my Locker.  Was it worth is???  I would say yes, but not just for the Axe

• I went places I normally would not go
• Learnt new tactics and skills
• Generally good fun

I would love to see more of these quests in Fortnite!

Why the Bytes Quests Rewards are so BAD!

The Axe / Harvesting Tool can only be used if you are wearing the Bytes Skin!  Such a shame
