Planetside - Certifications

 

As your character progresses and you gain rank you will get Certification Points. These points can then be used to buy Certifications. Certifications are what allow you to use equipment, and vehicles in the game.

It is possible to 'unlearn/forget' a Certification though. If you decide you want to get rid of a Certification and free up some Certification Points you will have to wait 24 hours for the points to return to you.

 

Weapons Certifications

Name: Standard Assault (Default Certification)
Allows Use of: Beamer, MAG-Scatter, Repeater, AMP, and Suppressor.
Certification Cost: None
Requisite Certifications: None


Name: Medium Assault
Allows Use of: Pulsar, Gauss, Cycler, Punisher, Sweeper Shotgun.
Certification Cost: 2 Points
Requisite Certifications: none


Name: Heavy Assault
Allows Use of: Lasher, Jackhammer, and Mini-Chaingun.
Certification Cost: 4 points
Requisite Certifications: Medium Assault


Name: Special Assault
Allows Use of: Decimator, Rocklet, and Thumper.
Certification Cost: 3 points
Requisite Certifications: Medium Assault


Name: Sniper
Allows Use of: Bolt-Driver
Certification Cost: 3 points
Requisite Certifications: Medium Assault


Name: Anti-Vehicular
Allows Use of: Lancer, Phoenix, and Striker.
Certification Cost: 3 points
Requisite Certifications: Medium Assault

 

Armour Certifications

Name: Standard (Default Certification)
Allows Use of: Standard Armor (What you spawn in)
Certification Cost: None
Requisite Certifications: None


Name: Agile Armor
Summary: Better armor than the Standard Issue, and with a bit more carrying capacity. Also has a an additional pistol slot along with the standard pistol, rifle, and knife slots. Agile armor can pilot/drive ANY vehicle.
Certification Cost: None
Requisite Certifications: None


Name: Reinforced Armor
Summary: Heavier armor, thus making its wearer harder to kill, and an increased inventory space along with a second rifle slot. (Two pistol slots, two rifle slots, and the knife holster.)
Certification Cost: 3 points
Requisite Certifications: None


Name: Mechanized Assault eXo-suit (MAX)
Summary: These are the big armors that have incredibly large weapons and special abilities. The drawback to these suits is that most miscellaneous equipment (like ACEs, BANKs, Med Applicators, etc.) can't be used due to the extreme clunkiness of the armors.
Certification Cost: 3 points (2 for anti air MAX)
Requisite Certifications: None


Name: Infiltration Suit
Summary: This suit only has space for a knife and a pistol so it doesn't pack much of a punch but that is not it's purpose. It has limited cloaking ability that makes it unique. When the user stands completely still or walks he/she cannot be seen. Yet when the user runs or fires a distorted resemblance can be seen.
Certification Cost: 2 points

Vehicle Certifications

Name: ATV
Summary: A combination certification including the Basilisk and the wraith. The Basilisk is a fast 'light attack' quad-cycle with 2 rotary chainguns. The Wraith is a quad-cycle which can be cloaked from view if the rider is wearing the Infiltration Suit.
Certification Cost: 2 points

Name: Harasser
Summary: This is the 'light attack' buggy and is suitable for reconnaissance and some light combat.
Certification Cost: 2 points
Requisite Certifications: None


Name: Thresher/Marauder/Enforcer (Each has own Cert.)
Summary: This is the Empire specific 'heavy buggy'. The VS's Thresher is a 2 man hover-buggy that can cross water (for a limited time) and is armed with a flux-cannon. The NC's Enforcer is the 2 man buggy armed with a rocket launcher. The TR's Marauder is a 3 man buggy with a grenade launcher and machine gun.

Name: Lightning
Summary: A 'light' one man tank armed with both cannon and chainguns. Its high speed and moderate armor make it ideal for wiping up ground troops.
Certification Cost: 3 points

Name: Magrider/Vanguard/Prowler (Each has own Cert.)
Summary: Each Empire has a 'heavy' battle tank. The VS's Magrider has the same ability of the Thresher to cross bodies of water, its armed with one stationary and one turret gun. The Vanguard is the incredibly powerful NC tank has the largest gun in the game as well as recoiless cannons. The Prowler has dual recoiless cannons and 2 main cannons.

Name: Deliverer
Summary: Capable of carrying 6 people this 'APC' makes for a fast transport with the added protection of 2 gunner positions, it's anphibious though it can only move at 30% of it's normal speed when in water.

Name: Sunder
Summary: A huge troop transport capable of carrying full squads and even MAX armors.
Certification Cost: 3 points
Requisite Certifications: None

Name: Advanced Mobile Station
Summary: A transportable mini base, it has 2 spawn tubes aswell as an equipment terminal.
Certification Cost: 2 points
Requisite Certifications: None

Name: Mosquito
Summary: A 'light' reconnaissance aircraft that does not show up on radar.
Certification Cost: 3 points
Requisite Certifications: None

Name: Reaver
Summary: A highly armored gunship. With its machine gun and powerful rockets its a handy vehicle hunter.
Certification Cost: 4 points
Requisite Certifications: None


Name: Galaxy
Summary: A massive air transport capable of carrying up to 14 people (15 with Enforcer/thresher loaded in back,16 with maruader). It has the ability to carry MAX armors as well as buggies, ANT's and a lightning.
Certification Cost: 3 points
Requisite Certifications: none

 

Support Certifications

Name: Hacking
Summary: Speeds up the time it takes to hack a command console with a REK and allows you to temporarily 'capture' enemy medical terminals.
Certification Cost: 3 points
Requisite Certifications: None


Name: Advanced Hacking
Summary: Same abilities as normal Hacking plus the ability to 'capture' enemy equipment terminals, and vehicle terminals.
Certification Cost: 2 points
Requisite Certifications: Hacking


Name: Engineering/Repair
Summary: Allows you to use the BANK to repair peoples (and your own) armor. Also allows you to use the Nano-Dispenser to repair objects in the game such as vehicles.
Certification Cost: 3 points
Requisite Certifications: None


Name: Combat Engineering
Summary: With this certification you can use the ACE to construct turrets, remote detonated explosives, high-explosive mine, and motion sensors.
Certification Cost: 2 points
Requisite Certifications: Engineering/Repair


Name: Medical
Summary: Allows you to use the medical applicator to heal yourself and others.
Certification Cost: 3 points
Requisite Certifications: None


Name: Advanced Medical
Summary: Allows you to revive teammates after they have died.
Certification Cost: 2 points
Requisite Certifications: Medical
